About Piano Manning:
PianoManning stands as one of the premier Billy Joel tribute bands in the Midwest, captivating audiences with their faithful and spirited renditions of the Piano Man’s timeless hits. The project is anchored by Alan Manning, a dynamic pianist and singer who has been a staple of the Kansas City music scene for many years. Known for his engaging stage presence and remarkable talent, Alan leads the charge in bringing Billy Joel's music to life.
The ensemble is powered by a first-rate band of seven exceptional musicians. Brian Turner and John Anderson drive the rhythm section on drums, bass and backing vocals ensuring each song has a solid and dynamic backbone. Max Levy adds a rich layer of sound with his three saxophones, percussion and vocal harmonies. Autumn Manning and Maggie Manning contribute their vocal talents and harmonica skills, creating lush harmonies and vibrant textures. The band is rounded out by Jason Mills and Rick Gibson, who bring versatility with electric guitars, acoustic guitar, the MandoCaster, and backing vocals.
PianoManning’s repertoire spans the entirety of Billy Joel’s illustrious career, performing songs from his eleven iconic albums: Piano Man, Streetlife Serenade, Turnstiles, The Stranger, 52nd Street, Glass Houses, The Nylon Curtain, An Innocent Man, The Bridge, Storm Front, and River of Dreams. From the chart-topping hits to the beloved album cuts, PianoManning delivers an authentic and electrifying experience that has crowds on their feet from the very first note.
